Where to shop in Dorking

Where to shop in Dorking? That’s the question we always hear people ask. Dorking is sometimes labelled with the stigma of being small and old-fashioned. Yes, we are small. But no – we’re most certainly not old fashioned.

In recent years Dorking has become a hub of thriving independent shops, all on a high street that’s less than a mile long. And we’re proud to be one of those.

So (aside from us at Victoria’s Little Bra Shop, obviously) here’s some of the independent shops we recommend to visit in Dorking.

WestDaw Menswear

The new kid on the block! WestDaw Menswear opened its doors in December and is a hub of high-end, stylish men’s clothing and accessories. The perfect place for men to have a browse while women treat themselves in our little boutique.

Bakehouse

Looking for the perfect outfit for a special occasion? Or love your designer brands? Then you need a trip to Bakehouse. Situated on Pump Corner it’s a trove of beautiful womenswear, while the personal touch in store is something you just won’t find in M&S.

Fluff-a-torium

Dorking’s one-stop-shop for our resident crafters. Endless reams of wool, fabric and felt line the walls and you won’t be bored with the bold and beautiful colours that fill your senses as you walk through the door. They’re also known for their guerrilla knitting found brightening up the town!

Gorgeous Gerties

Another West Street favourite. Gorgeous Gerties is a charming tea room (with to-die-for afternoon tea, in case you were wondering!) with a treasure trove of locally produced products upstairs. You’ll find a bit of everything from bunting and buttons to handmade wax melts and beautiful scarves – trust us, you won’t leave empty handed.

Vintage Shrewd

A vintage shop that’s a must for any keen shopper. Fashion, jewellery, art and homewares are just a few of the things you’ll find in this gorgeous little shop. Just make sure you’ve got a little time to spend in there, you can get lost in there for hours!

Plus – a special shout out to S.C. Fuller, who celebrated their 125th birthday this year and are the longest running shop in Dorking – congratulations!

So that’s our favourite shops, next time – our favourite foodie spots, cafes and bars! And don’t forget, there are so many more wonderful shops to visit, we just couldn’t fit them all on one blog post. So for a full list of Dorking shops, take a look here.
